Like my knives, my firesteels are also all hand made. I call them "Spun fire steels" as this refers to the method I use to build them.
The resultant Firesteel is very concentric and finished to a nice polish.
All my Firesteels are fitted with a brass lanyard tube and elastic shock chord.
I use a variety of woods and either 8 or 9mm diameter rods depending on which I can get my hands on.
