Here is a video which shows how I build a knife. The entire process has been condensed into 30 minutes.
UK Knife maker Lee Bennett LB Custom knives
I learned recently that Lee Bennett from LB Custom knives has sadly passed away.
Lee was truly a most gifted and highly skilled craftsman and knife maker and I am deeply saddened at his passing. I personally knew Lee and we would often share idea's and chat over the phone.
I also shared a table at the UK knife show with Lee.
Lee was a good friend to me and my family.
We truly have lost a very talented and much loved member of the UK knife making community.
I shall always remember Lee's cheeky smile and the good times we shared.
My condolences go out to his family and friends.
I am currently working on a batch of 3mm thick Classic bushcraft knives.

Currently not taking orders but building knives for sale on this website
How to buy a Jacklore knife?
Well for some time now I have had the note saying "Not currently taking orders" But I get many requests daily saying will I accept an order.
No I am no longer taking orders. I prefer to build my knives and work without the pressure that an order book places on me.
Not taking Orders means for me:
Less pressure for me, Less emails, I get to build the knives I want to build with the materials I have in stock. Ultimately this means I may be able to produce more knives, earn a little more money and satisfy a few more customers, and possible even have a few days off here and there!
In other words it gives me a better quality of life. A happy knife maker is a good knife maker!
Please bear in mind that upto now I have been building these knives in small batches. I have never been a large producer, and my average output has only ever been 2 to 3 knives per week. I like to get up close and personal with each knife build carefully grinding each knife blade and shaping each handle by hand and eye. Please also understand that I have a few minor disabilities (due to a legacy of a brain tumour that I suffered a few years ago) and this is another reason for my low output.
So How can I buy a knife?
I hope to have knives for sale here regularly.
The knives are listed at random times so everyone will get a fair chance. I believe I cannot be fairer than that given my current circumstances. Demand is high with customers from around the world and I am just a one man band doing the best I can!
Many thanks for reading this.
